Outstanding Achievement – Mr. Benjamin T. Morgan

Benjamin Morgan initially came to Samaritan Ministry seeking a source of supplemental income and stable housing. With guidance from his Caseworker, he identified not just one life goal, but several – in housing, employment and education. The pandemic may have slowed him down on his Next Step journey, but clearly it did not stop him! We provided encouragement, rigorous and expert coaching – but Benjamin has been doing the heavy lifting, one next step at a time. Benjamin describes our Caseworkers and the sense of belonging he feels at Samaritan, “How somebody helps you is important… When somebody crashes down, they don’t need someone looking down on them, they need someone to help them look up. And that’s what I’ve experienced here at Samaritan.” This year he will be honored with the outstanding achievement award for all his hard work over the last few years in the Next Step program.
