Volunteer Spotlight: Bill Kenety

William (Bill) Kenety was the recipient of the Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington 2020 Above and Beyond Volunteer Award for his service in the Northwest DC office. The award is given annually to the volunteer who exhibits extraordinary dedication and compassion in his/her service to others and demonstrates the core values of the organization and its mission.

Bill has been a Front Office Coordinator (FOC) at the Northwest office for over four years. Throughout the COVID 19 Pandemic and shut down he has continued to come into the office weekly to help our caseworker provide for the Participants by organizing and preparing mail and other essentials for the weekly Participant Porch Services. He also distributed the holiday gift cards and has helped with the Food Pantry. When the late Annette Carver retired this past Spring, Bill help organize the Parade of Cars celebration we held at her home. His service and dedication have always been appreciated but even more during these unprecedented times.
