2021 Virtual Next Step Breakfast
On Saturday, March 20, Samaritan Ministry held it’s 2021 Next Step Breakfast. More than 500 people gathered virtually with PBS NewsHour White House Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor, Samaritan Next Step participant speaker Ben Morgan, volunteer witness Ivy Kilby, Commitment speaker Michele Lewis-Muzzatti, and Executive Director David B. Wolf, who talked about who we are, what we do, and where we’re going.
Because of the pandemic, we were not able to gather in person (again!) this year, but our virtual format made it possible for more people to participate – estimated at over 500 viewers – our most successful Next Step Breakfast from that standpoint! As we write you, we are still receiving and tallying our final financial as well as time & talent results.
If you still haven’t had a chance to watch the program, you can catch it on our Facebook page here or on our YouTube page here. Ben and Ivy’s testimonials speak to the life-changing impact Samaritan Ministry has had on their lives and we believe you will find it as inspiring as our viewers found it.
If you haven’t yet made a pledge or gift to support our transformative work with Next Step participants in the community, I invite you to join our growing list of donors by making a 2021 pledge or enrolling as a monthly sustainer. Monthly giving is easy to do, and during these uncertain times, it allows you to spread out your gift over the year automatically, rather than having to pay all at once.
Thank you, again, to all Next Step Breakfast sponsors, who covered the major expenses related to the event – their logos are presented below – so that all donations could be used to further our mission! A special thank you to our 52 Table Captains who truly made the engagement possible, as well as our producer RJ Whyte.
As great as the virtual event was, we hope to be back in-person at the National Press Club next year – with some virtual options as well!
