Hope and HIV Testing in Anacostia

On April 6, more than a dozen participants and local community members joined James Perry, PrEP specialist with Family & Medical Counseling Service, at our Anacostia/SE DC office for a conversation about HIV/AIDS prevention, medical assistance, and local resources.

Beginning at 12:00 noon on May 6th, Saint George’s will host its annual free BBQ lunch as part of the Samaritan Ministry’s Empower the Homeless Campaign which kicked off April 1. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness and support for our homeless neighbors. The annual campaign engages local community members as well as members of parishes and schools in the reality of homelessness with five goals:

City Year Volunteers: Giving Back

On March 28th, Samaritan Ministry partnered with City Year to celebrate Student Service Week, an annual service-learning opportunity for high school students in the DMV area.
