Walking Food

Samaritan Ministry is proud to provide Walking Food to participants in need. Many of our participants are homeless and/or have no place to prepare meals that require cooking. Other participants come to attend our 3-week, 6 hour-a-day STRIVE job readiness training and need sustenance to get them through the day! Our Walking Food typically consist of a tuna or chicken prepackaged snack box, peanut butter or cheese crackers, a juice box and a granola bar. Walking Food are distributed at all of our locations.

Our current food supply is not meeting our participant’s needs. We are in desperate need of additional food items to be able to provide support for everyone whose hungry. Will you donate food (your own or organize a food drive) to ensure our participants have food to get through their work at Samaritan Ministry?

In-kind donations may be dropped off at any of our locations. Monetary contributions should be sent to Doris Warrell at the Northwest Office (1516 Hamilton Ave Washington DC) and labeled “Walking Food.” Thank you!
